Version 0.4.0 Patch Notes


  • Added a new spell: Boulder Toss
  • Added a new spell: Water Jet
  • Added controller support (PS4, Xbox, and Switch Pro)
  • Probability of alternate maps appearing has been decreased


  • Changed from using individual sprite images to using packed textures

User Interface and Menus

  • How to Play and Tips & Tricks menus updated with new info
  • Gamepad Setup menu added to allow manual assigning of connected controllers to players


  • Players no longer get mana back at the end of the turn
  • Waiting for half of a turn now gives 3 mana, waiting for a full turn gives 15 mana (3 on first wait, 12 on second wait)
  • Drenched no longer nullifies all Fire damage - it now reduces it by 0.5x
  • Max Drenched count reduced from 10 to 5
  • Frozen no longer nullifies Lightning damage - it now reduces it by 0.5x
  • Frozen now multiplies Ice damage by 1.5x
  • Frozen can now be shattered by Earth damage, removing Frozen and dealing a bonus 10 damage
  • Ice tiles now apply Frosted and Frozen
  • Energy Ball mana cost increased from 2 to 5
  • Fireball mana cost increased from 4 to 7
  • The amount of growth Fireball gains from passing through other fire has been increased
  • Fire Spray mana cost increased from 5 to 8
  • Gravity Tether now untethers when a new Tether projectile is shot, not just when a Tether projectile connects
  • Gravity Well mana cost increased from 7 to 10
  • Gravity Well now pulls in players slower than other objects
  • Ice Punch mana cost increased from 3 to 7
  • Lightning Bolt mana cost increased from 6 to 12
  • Rock Wall mana cost increased from 4 to 6
  • Rock Wall segment health changed from 10 to 15


  • Fixed a bug where players could attempt to queue spells after the fight was over
  • Fixed a bug where the fight would not end right away if a player’s health fell to 0 at the very end of a turn
  • Fixed a bug where knockback from spells would override velocity instead of adding to it
  • Fixed a bug where directional projectiles wouldn’t always knockback in the right direction
  • Fixed a bug where you would get a message every time you had your Frosted stack added to instead of when you went from not being Frosted to being Frosted
  • Fixed a bug where the Fireball explosion hotbox was bigger than it should be in the latter half of the explosion
  • Fixed a bug in Fire Spray where how long it should last would vary based on how fast you’re moving instead of being a set time
  • Fixed a bug where Gravity Tether wouldn’t draw aligned to the edge of the map sometimes
  • Fixed a bug where Lightning Bolt would start collision on an invisible frame instead of the first frame of lightning
  • Fixed a bug in Rock Wall where collision would sometimes not calculate properly with certain spells
